Purchasing a horse through a third party carries risk. With extremely limited information available to us. The horse may not be the age, health, breed, condition, size, build, conformation, soundness, level of training or temperament that you expect. It may not be suitable for the purpose which you had imagined. It may be in poor condition, poorly conformed, lame, sick, carry communicable disease (to other horses, animals and also humans). It may be injured, disfigured, infested with worms or in pain. Any female horse, mare or filly, may or may not be pregnant, and or unable to carry a foal. Stallions, and colts maybe infertile or have an undescended testicle.
Horses provided to sales such as this are done so with limited information and may come from a background that is abusive, or neglectful. The horse may have physical and / or psychological issues that arise from this history.
The horse purchased may strike, kick, bite, rear, buck, bolt or act in other violent or defensive ways that result in serious injury or death. It may spread disease that results in serious injury or death to other horses, animals or humans that it comes into contact with.
Waiver of Liability
In proceeding to utilise the services of the ‘Horses At Auction – Preview’ volunteers, you accept and undertake any and all risk in relation to the purchase of the horse.
You accept that purchasing a horse carries risk and that Horses At Auction – Preview does not guarantee or warranty in any way the suitability, age, health, breed, condition, size, colour, build, conformation, soundness, level of training or temperament or any other aspect of the horse.
Any description given by Horses At Auction – Preview or any of its servants or agents is made on a brief first impression, under adverse circumstances, and is for identification purposes only. It is not to be relied upon in regard to any aspect of the horse.
We provide this service to facilitate the rescue of horses that would otherwise be put to slaughter. These are not children’s ponies, show horses or bombproof trail riding horses. In agreeing to utilise this service you represent to us that you have the skills, knowledge and resources to undertake this very serious and potentially arduous task.
MAXIMUM BID
I understand that in order for bidding to take place on this horse on my behalf, I must make contact with the administrative team of ‘Horses At Auction – Preview’ and have arranged payment details no later the 12pm on the aforementioned date. ‘Horses At Auction – Preview’ are not financially responsible for the purchase of this horse, and the buyer accepts full responsibility should their method of payment be declined or be unsuccessful.
In bidding for this horse, I accept responsibility for its transport and will have organised transport of this horse to me PRIOR to its purchase.
I declare that in filling this document, I will not hold the ‘Horses At Auction – Preview’ page and its administrators or bidders responsible if the chosen horse is unsuitable for the use I intended, or is unsound in any way. I understand that the person bidding on my behalf cannot guarantee me of any information regarding the aforementioned horse, and the decision to bid on this horse is solely mine. As a consequence, I agree to waive the right to hold the administration and representative bidder responsible for any incident or accident relating to this horse.
